About Cricket
Hi! My name is Christine "Cricket" Nauman. I am the owner/propagator of Cricket's Garden Native Wildflowers. I have loved taking photos of wildflowers and identifing native wildflowers since I was a little girl.
Growing up, I spent lots of time among the wildflowers on my parents 10 acres of woodland backyard in Eastern Washington. Each spring and summer, I enjoyed taking walks, seeing and taking photos of all of the beautiful wildflowers that grew there. As I grew up, I became more and more interested in these plants.
I followed my passion for wildflowers to college where
I studied Natural Resource Management at Washington State
University. I then continued my education to the University of Idaho
where I received a Masters of Science degree in Forest Resources. My
focus of study was germination of native plants and nursery
management.
After years of collecting, enjoying, propagating and photographing
these plants, I decided to share my experiences and photographs with
others that have an interest in native plants. I want to help people
learn how wonderful these plants are and how they can be used in our
gardens and landscapes. I hope to share my experiences with anyone
that is interested.
Hope you enjoy my blog, website and facebook page. It is always a work in
progress. Please contact me if you have any questions or comments.
Thank you!
